Pre-Thermography Test Instructions

On the day of your appointment please:

Avoid excessive sun exposure
No sunburn
No make-up, deodorant, lotions, or powder
No smoking or vaping for at-least 2 hours prior to test
No physical therapy (chiropractic adjustments) or electromyography on same day of test
No diet changes
No medication changes
Avoid chewing gum or drinking hot beverages 2 hours before the test
Remove all jewelry
Long hair should be worn up in a bun
Report any skin lesions, bruises or injuries to your Thermographer
Do not do anything that will stress joints or muscles, causing you to heat up or causing the skin surface to be blocked.

Preparation for your test is simple but crucial to the accuracy of the results. Please be advised if you do not follow these guidelines your results will be compromised.

We reserve the right to cancel your appointment if you do not follow these pre-test instructions. Appointments are non-refundable.

**Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time and bring your pre-filled patient forms.

At the Clinic

Arrive on time for your appointment

Feel the temperature inside the clinic, and make sure you're not feeling too cold or too warm. Your body will adjust to the temperature, but we will gladly lower or raise the temperature in the room for your comfort.

Give your forms to the receptionist

Everything must be filled and completed to the best of your knowledge. Please do not leave any past medical history out. It's important to disclose all health and family history for doctors to better understand your health.

You will be given a gown to change in

You will disrobe down to your underwear. Speedo type undergarments or thongs are appropriate for both men and women.

The Thermographer will explain

You will be explained and demonstrated the required views and positions necessary for your scan. You will be sitting and also standing.

Thermal images

Thermal images are taken of the full body, region of interest, half-body or breasts.
